UoP Development Squad v Journo FC: “It will be a tough one, but we will be going for the win.”

Journo FC will fight to maintain their position at the top of the league, this Saturday, when playing UoP Development Squad at Langstone Sports centre.

This is expected to be a challenging game, testing Journo FC for the second week running.

George Champion says Journo FC hope to continue their success, through “keeping a good structure and just playing as a team.”

“We want to have all the ball, play some good football and score as many goals as possible.”

When commenting upon their previous 3-0 fixture win against UoP Development Squad, Champion said: “I think communication was key in that game. We’ve been playing together for a while now and it is showing,”

Despite Journo FC facing the game this week with several key players suffering injuries, Champion assures that, “we have got great players that can fill those positions.”

Although Dae Rae is out with a bruised rib and Anwar with an ankle jury, Champion has announced that Jack Ryves will be fit to play this weekend’s match.

Harrison Myring, Vice-Captain at Journo FC, reflects on Champion’s expectations for this weekend:

“It’s all about consistency, making sure that if we keep doing the same thing over and over, we will beat any team,

“If we match how we played last time, we are going to be more than fine.”

Harrisons also emphasise the team’s ability to, “keep a few clean sheets. If it’s going to go down to goal difference, we have got to try and cut that out.”

It is evident that good communication, teamwork, and possession of the ball will be key elements to the continued success of Journo FC.
